Here be dragons, chameleons, and one-minute cars ......

You know, there is a lot of Diaryland territory unclaimed, and a lot that was abandoned months ago after just one or two entries. As if it turned out to be too much effort, too exposing, whatever. Understandable, I suppose.

There's also a *lot* of Diarylanders experimenting with their sexuality, with drugs, and sinking into the mires of depression and futility. Most Diarylanders I've stumbled across with political opinions all lean towards the Gore side of the field, and very few seem to have strong beliefs in any religion at all. They have racy stories to tell and risque subject matter and they get readers by the droves.

Suddenly, I feel exposed, strange, shunned ... uninteresting, plain, snobbish, too conservative to be any fun ... I have this wild urge to run out and do something really unusual and liberated to get the attention of everyone who's ever thought I was too quiet, contained, and/or repressed to be any good.

It's that chamelon instinct rearing it's ugly head again ... I thought I'd finally stamped it flat. Ick. Besides, I really don't write here to get readers anyway. (Not that I mind them ... Thank you, Quoted!) I guess it just reminds me of how often I've become friends with someone, only to have them tell me, "I had no idea you were so cool! I always used to think you were snobbish and uptight!"

Anyway. I'm not going wail about life's condition today, let's go back to my original topic, researching Diaryland names. Here are some Diaryland sites that I thought would be taken for SURE, and weren't:

herebedragons
princecharming
gandalf
hobbit
muaddib
deryni
polgara
aldur
skywalker
jedi
ladyvader
sithlord
darkelf
gladiator
crusader

But there ARE journals, nearly all of which have gone forever without updates and/or only had one entry, for these names:

gollum
indianajones
dragons
emperor
hannibal
celtic
enchantress
vulcan
captain
tron
leeloo
ninja
gypsy
knight
camelot
willow

Wonder what it says about me, that I chose *these* names to look up?

I should be working instead of playing around typing random names in ... Oh well. I get off work today at 3:30 anyway, so it's hard to be industrious. Azash has his doctor's appointment for his wrist this afternoon, so he's stopping by our parent's house afterwards, and Ill join them there around 4:30. Then we're going to watch Gone in 60 Seconds ... BOTH versions. My parents' first date was to the movies to see the original, back in the early seventies. I find that rather cool.

... I wish MY car had a Go-Baby-Go button ... *grin*
