I seldom read any of the others. FAVORITE NEWSPAPER? The Statesman Journal for news, The Oregonian for the comics. WHAT’S YOUR FAVORITE TV SHOW(S)? I rarely watch TV. I occasionally enjoy “Who Wants to Be a Millionaire”, “Whose Line is it Anyway?”, “The X-Files”, “Star Trek” of any series, “Survivor”, and a few others. FAVORITE ACTOR? Varies from month to month. This last month, I saw movies in which I admired: Russell Crowe, Bruce Willis, Mel Gibson, Johnny Lee Miller, Embeth Davitz, Julia Roberts, Helen Hunt. IF YOU COULD MEET ONE PERSON, DEAD OR ALIVE, WHO WOULD IT BE? Paul, of New Testament fame. There are a zillion questions I want to ask him about his life, the places and people he knew (including Jesus), and about the things he wrote in his letters (one of which is his theme of restrictions on the actions of women). FAVORITE MOVIES? Must I choose? Here are a few: “Pride & Prejudice” (the 6-tape A&E version), “Ever After”, “The Scarlet Pimpernel” (1982 version), the “Star Trek” movies, the “Star Wars” movies, the “Jurassic Park” movies, “Apollo 13”, “Sense and Sensibility”, “That Old Feeling”, and MANY others. FAVORITE DISNEY MOVIE? “Sleeping Beauty” SCHOOL: Just got 2 bachelors’ degrees FUTURE SCHOOL: Possibly a masters’ degree … Not sure when or what, yet. WHAT IS THE BEST PART OF SCHOOL? Absorbing knowledge and meeting friends. IF YOU COULD HAVE ANY JOB YOU WANTED, WHAT WOULD IT BE? A famous author of epic fantasy or science-fiction book series. FAVORITE FLOWER? Dark-colored iris (although roses run a close second) BOYFRIEND? Not currently. BEST BUDS: Several … those I’ve mentioned before include Azash, Hildegaard, Jocasta, and Kadee. FAVORITE CANDY: Nutrageous candy bar … chocolate, peanut butter, nuts, caramel, what more can you ask for? DO YOU DRINK ALCOHOL? On special occasions (shh, don’t tell). FAVORITE ALCOHOLIC DRINK? Haven’t tasted enough varieties to choose a favorite THINGS YOU COLLECT: books, castles of any composition (sand, candle, porcelain, pewter, etc)., coffee mugs, some music and computer games PERSONAL PHONE LINE: If you count my cell … TV, VCR, STEREO, PHONE, COMPUTER, ETC IN YOUR BEDROOM? No, no, yes, no, and no. The rest are out in the main room! WHAT’S MOST IMPORTANT IN SOMEONE’S PERSONALITY? Brains, a sense of humor, a sense of adventure, a willingness to understand and to compromise sometimes CAN A GUY AND A GIRL JUST BE FRIENDS? It depends on the guy and girl in question. FAVORITE BODY PART ON THE OPPOSITE SEX? Shoulders and hands (muscular and long-fingered). DO YOU ASK THE GUY/GIRL OUT OR DO YOU WAIT FOR THEM TO DO SO? I wait. I’d screw things up if I tried. Still, the wait is long … DO YOU MIND PAYING FOR A DATE? Depends. If we’ve just started dating, and he has enough money to, I really appreciate him paying. It’s gentlemanly. Later, or if he really can’t afford it, I will split the check or sometimes pay myself, and I don’t mind. WHAT IS THE LONGEST RELATIONSHIP YOU HAVE BEEN IN? 6 months WHAT ATTRACTS YOU MOST TO A GUY? Tall, darker hair, fairly slim and muscular is best (although negotiable). Personality, intelligence, and similar views on religion and values also are very important. WHERE WAS YOUR FIRST KISS? At my ex-fiancé’s house (blecch) HAVE YOU EVER HAD ORAL SEX? Ah, no. ARE YOU A VIRGIN? Yep. By choice, and by religious/moral conviction, not from lack of opportunity. TATTOOS OR PIERCINGS? One hole in each ear, oh so normal. I’ve promised Hildegaard, though, that when/if she moves out here we’ll get tattoos together. EVER BEEN IN LOVE? Well … I thought I was. Well, there are shelves and a drawer under my bed that I haven’t finished filling in yet … HEY! I’d forgotten! There’s several cubic feet of storage space behind them, too! Wow! Now I know what to do with all my extra unemptied boxes … WHAT ARE YOUR FAVORITE PAJAMAS? Satiny green long pjs I got for Christmas last year. Usually, I am dreaming something weird, and think my alarm is part of the dream … After several seconds, the beeping gets to me, and I think “Uuugh, Not yet …” DO YOU SLEEP WITH A STUFFED ANIMAL? No. They only get to sit on my bed in the daytime. ROLLER COASTER--SCARY OR EXCITING? Exciting!!! HOW MANY RINGS BEFORE YOU ANSWER THE PHONE? Depends on how close to it I am! STORMS--COOL OR SCARY? Usually FM105.1 (Rosie) has a pretty good mix for my tastes. FAVORITE SONG(S) : Highly variable. FAVORITE ALBUM: Highly variable. DO YOU SPEAK ANY FOREIGN LANGUAGES? I have a smattering of Spanish and French … just enough to decipher most of the comments they throw into American movies to be “cute” or “hip”. It certainly adds something to the watching experience. =) Of course, then there’re all those computer languages I’ve learned … FAVORITE VACATION SPOT: It’s a tie between the beach or a nice creek-side campground in the mountains. DO YOU HAVE ANY PETS? One sly, beautiful 11-year-old cat, whom I could not take with me when I moved (alas). My parents have her. They also have an absolutely adorable 3-month-old puppy, whom my cat hisses at given the slightest excuse. =) IF YOU COULD CHANGE ONE THING ABOUT YOU WHAT WOULD IT BE? My shyness/reserve IF YOU COULD UNDO ONE MISTAKE WHAT WOULD IT BE? I honestly don’t know. My mistakes have shaped who I am today. But a certain messiness that recently smeared itself over several online diaries *does* come to mind … DO YOU TYPE WITH YOUR FINGERS ON THE RIGHT KEYS? I’d better, after two years of typing/office classes in High School. *grin* I think I still manage something like 60wpm when I really get flying. WHAT'S ON YOUR MOUSE PAD?
