2002-03-16 - 4:58 p.m. A right-brained kind of day
Hee. I've had some fun today. My first-ever fanfic is now up to 7 chapters -- nearly 6,000 words -- and I'm not even to the best parts yet. Fun fun fun. I even have 6 positive reviews already. Fanfiction.net doesn't post the new chapters very fast, though. It's been taking about 12 hours for them to be displayed after I upload them. So I cobbled together a quick page and got it posted to my tripod site. I even collaged together a title pic for it. Check it out. Yesterday wasn't as bad as I'd expected. The serial-numbering kept me busy for all of our actual working time, with the other three hours or so being spent in the truck on the way there and the way back. The scenery was very pretty, even though the foliage is still fairly winter-thinned, and my boss likes to chat. It kept me distracted. Oh, and it hailed here today. Enough that the ground was carpeted pretty thoroughly in tiny white marbles of ice. Then it snowed, for about 10 seconds ... and then it all melted. *sigh* There were a couple of pretty decent snows this year, but it's not enough. After the first winter I spent in Oregon -- the whitest in many, many years -- it's never enough. =) La la la, nothing else to tell, or too much; I'm really scattered just now. Later. << back | next >>
